Truly a gem!
We had our wedding & reception at Tumbleweed Sanctuary in April 2022. What a magical and beautiful venue in the desert! We took a chance and booked this venue for our wedding site unseen because it looked so perfect, and we were blown away when we had our site visit. Absolutely stunning! The staff were helpful throughout the entire planning process and incredibly accommodating for our Hindu ceremony traditions and furry out-of-town flower girls. The furniture that is included in the rental contract is gorgeous. Our guests continue to rave about this beautiful venue, inside and out, and we talk about how perfect it was all the time! We are so glad we chose Tumbleweed Sanctuary for our wedding! Truly a gem!

After hosting our wedding at Tumbleweed, we have nothing but positivity to share. First, the venue is absolutely stunning. The grounds are very well kept and create a uniquely beautiful space to host an event. On top of that, Tumbleweed is an extremely pleasant venue to work with. Dorothy, the event manager, is friendly and responsive. Additionally, the wedding package included a ton of cool furniture and accessories that work perfectly with the space and aesthetic.

What a magical place!
What a magical place! My husband and I are so grateful to have been able to share this amazing property with our friends and family on our wedding day. It was the perfect setting to celebrate our love and staff went above and beyond to make it a great event. The disco ball in the Sanctuary was the cherry on top of a fantastic evening and dance party!

“I don't have enough words to explain how magical Tumbleweed is. From the second I set foot at the venue for my first visit I was in awe! Our wedding was perfect in everyway, even with the weather forcing us inside (we got all four seasons in one day) the staff and crew did an amazing job of switching gears to get it all done. Dorothy was the absolute best, she made everything work for us to still have our special day inside. I would love to come back and do a vow renewal at the Joshua Trees one day. Best Venue Ever!
We could not recommend Tumbleweed Sanctuary more! The venue is absolutely stunning, with tons of Joshua Trees at the back of the property, and other beautiful cacti. The sunset there is incredible and made for absolutely beautiful sunset photos. We got married at the two big Joshua Trees and we couldn't be happier with the unique "arch". A lot is included in the rental and at the time of our wedding, we felt the cost of renting the venue was very reasonable. There is also an indoor building that is beautifully decorated inside that we used for our rehearsal dinner, and can also be used for dinner/the reception (we chose to have our dinner and reception outdoors under the string lights). Our guests were blown away by how incredible the venue was and we are so thankful we were able to have our wedding at Tumbleweed. The staff there are wonderful to work with as well! They actually saved our wedding day - our previous venue canceled on us 3 days before our wedding, and somehow Tumbleweed was available on our date with 3 days notice and they helped us save our day!! We will forever be grateful to Sabrina and Vicki for everything they did to help make our wedding day possible on such short notice.

Magical day even though COVID changed everything...
Tumbleweed Sanctuary... thank you for creating a beautiful day for me and my now husband! We worked closely with Sabrina who was very responsive to the vast emails exchanged while we worked around COVID restrictions and ultimately chose their "Marry Me under a Joshua Tree" package. The vendors were preselected for us, all local, and I was very happy with the guitarist during the ceremony, flowers (oh my gosh, they were gorgeous) and small touches for our mini-dance party which included cake, champagne and libations. The property itself is picturesque with Joshua trees sprinkled all over outside... and it made for swoon worthy photos! We added video with the photographer and I highly recommend this. While we were really looking forward to our original pre-COVID plans, Tumbleweed really pulled through and made our day so special and unforgettable.

We hosted our November wedding at Tumbleweed and cant even put into words how magical the experience was working with them. From booking to execution, their team were absolutely incredible and our wedding couldn't have been more magical + perfect. If you're on the fence - CHOOSE THIS VENUE! It is absolute magic.

Beautiful Desert Wedding
When we first discovered Tumbleweed Sanctuary, we knew it was perfect for us. We wanted to capture the magic of the desert and the function of an established venue. With the gorgeous expanse of the natural desert and beautifully designed vignettes, they had everything we were looking for. We had our ceremony outside in the large stone labyrinth and it was truly a dream come true. Our guests were blown away by the beauty of this setting. There are so many possibilities for photo ops, ceremony and reception setups, and activities on their huge and open grounds. They already had much of what we needed, including tables and chairs, plus the spectacular beauty of the gardens meant we could cut down on the cost of decor- we didn’t need much else! We had a magical day in this beautiful setting and recommend it highly for anyone looking for a desert wedding.

Dream Location
We had our wedding at Tumbleweed in September under a full moon, and it was just as peaceful and romantic as we hoped it would be. The Tumbleweed staff works constantly to continue to enhance and improve the grounds, which a breathtaking. When you work with them or come to the site, everyone you encounter is warm, kind and respectful. They instantly put you at ease. Our guests were all taken by the beauty of the location and it’s unusual intimacy. We couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate our wedding.

Our dream wedding!
We LOVED the Tumbleweed! Vicki and all her staff (Julie, Jasmine, Danny) were amazing! They were so professional and so responsive with emails or phone calls. There was no hidden fees and everything they say is included is actually included! So refreshing to have a venue that actually gives you what they say without any hidden fees.
The venue come with parking (huge bonus) and they set everything up for you. Decor was beautiful and all bohemian chic. And beautiful bathrooms that were actual bathrooms, not outhouses(also huge bonus). Spaces for inside or outside use. Beautiful places for photos throughout the property. Everything about the Tumbleweed is a 10/10! We literally have nothing negative to say about the Tumbleweed at all! We want to get married all over again just to use them again!! The Tumbleweed Sanctuary Made Our Wedding Magical
I had seen the venue on Instagram a couple of times and it looked incredible, but I had been in conversation with the venue we were just leaving for a while and thought THAT one would be our venue. It was beautiful, clean, and serene - a desert oasis, to say the least. We sat on one of their adorable wood benches along a desert path on their property, and knew this was the place we would get married. Vicki was amazing throughout the whole process, and when we got closer to the event, I worked with Julie, who was so sweet and easy to work with. She answered all of my questions and helped me make sure all of the vendors had their proper insurance, and that I had my own liability insurance (we went with The Event Helper). We were able to come in the evening before the wedding for two hours to set up the interior decor for the reception and for rehearsal. When we arrived, the venue had already set up the tables and chairs as I had drawn them on a floor plan inside, and the chairs for the ceremony outside under their beautiful metal archway. Everything was perfect! It was a dream come true. The Tumbleweed Sanctuary, from start to finish, made our wedding day perfect. I highly recommend them for both their venue and their staff. It was a completely magical experience!

Dream venue - beautiful property with great staff
Tumbleweed Sanctuary was a dream venue for our wedding. They had so much beautiful furniture (tables, chairs, lounge furniture) and decorations that we were able to forego rentals all together. We knew it would be a beautiful venue when we booked, but the staff blew us away the day of our wedding. They set up all of the furniture and took it apart on our wedding day so our set up was a total breeze. We had planned for 2 hours to setup before the ceremony but we didn't even need that much time. It ended up being really windy the day of our wedding (not really surprising), so a lot of our decorations and flowers were being blown over. We ended up not using most of our flowers and they weren't even really missed since the furniture and the scenery were to beautiful. We had originally planned to go into Joshua Tree National Park for photos during our cocktail hour, but the property had so much diverse plant life and was so beautiful that we just stayed there, which allowed us to spend more time with our friends and family.

Magical Space
When we found The Tumbleweed Sanctuary, Cesar and I instantly fell in love with the venue and the amazing crew that makes up their team. We toured the venue about 8 months before our wedding and the team was a pleasure to work with throughout our entire planning process. Vicki and Julie were a huge help with answering questions and being available when we wanted to stop by and clarify logistics. On the day of, Dani, Boo and Julie were super gracious in helping our day run smoothly. Our family and friends were blown away by the beauty of the space and all the details that went into making this venue so special; we got so many compliments and everyone felt welcome and at home. We would choose this venue for our wedding a thousand times over without hesitation and we look forward to visiting the space any chance we get in the future.

The most perfect wedding venue
This was the most magical beautiful, well kept, well thought out wedding site I've ever been to and I'm so glad we chose it. Julie was an incredible host, and everything about the space is perfect. It's so dynamic-- outdoor and indoor with lots of options and flexibility. Perfect for sunset photos. I could not have asked for a more magical place to sanctify my love. If anyone has any questions about the space I'm happy to be a reference.

An Absolute Dream
We looked high and low throughout Los Angeles, Orange County and the desert to find a place for our wedding and when we stumbled on Tumbleweed we knew we had found our home. If you love the spaciousness, the grounding energy and the rustic charm of the California desert this might be the place for you. The landscaping is stunning - your'e surrounded by Joshua trees, cactus, mountains and wide open skies. The interior space is newly remodeled and it's clean and welcoming with brand new bathrooms. The lighting is great and it's decorated with candles and rugs and crystals - you can rent the furniture too, which we opted for. We had our ceremony outdoors under one of the beautiful arches. We had our dinner indoors and then moved back outside for dancing. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding and Vicki, the owner, and this space are incredible special to us. This place has soul and is completely unique. We will never forget it!

Most Perfect Desert Venue
If you're looking into getting married in Joshua Tree, THIS PLACE IS IT! We planned our wedding all the way from Cincinnati, OH. We knew we wanted to get married in Joshua Tree but without the desert heat.
When I found Tumbleweed Sanctuary on Instagram I instantly knew this was our venue. Not only was it gorgeous on the inside and out, the staff at TS were incredible. Up until the day of the wedding TS made sure to communicate with us. The staff were kind and attentive, absolutely amazing! Also, huge bonus but their building had AC. Huge bonus since we had grandparents who weren't used to CA heat. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. THIS PLACE IS PERFECT. Thank you for having us!!

We booked Tumbleweed Sanctuary, Garden, and Labyrinth for our wedding ceremony and reception. It was truly the best decision we made for our wedding day. As soon as we visited Tumbleweed and met with Julie to discuss our vision, we knew it was the perfect place. The sprawling property has many different seating areas, space for game, indoor/outdoor space, and a nature walk for pictures that look as if you are in the middle of nowhere in the desert! There are so many different places to take BEAUTIFUL pictures, enjoy nature, and gather with friends and family. All of the furniture and decor provided is beautiful, modern, bohemian style that compliments the desert so well. The staff was incredible to work with to answer our MANY questions and coordinate our day flawlessly. During the planning process, we were able to visit the venue a few different times by ourselves, with our parents, and with our coordinator and the staff was always so welcoming, kind, and patient. The venue and staff are LGTBQ+ friendly and allowed us to convert the “male/female” bathrooms to “gender neutral” to accommodate all of our guests. Our family and friends all adored Tumbleweed and had such a fun time exploring the property, taking photos, and soaking in the beauty of the desert. I would highly recommend Tumbleweed Sanctuary, Garden, and Labyrinth for a wedding/ special event venue! I wish we could get married here again!!

The staff is amazing and we couldn’t recommend this place more. We were part of a shootout here and it was such a blast! All the vendors were amazing, the sunset with the desert is spectacular! If you are planning on getting married here, do it ASAP!!

Nothing but amazing things to say about Tumbleweed!
I am a photographer & I have shot at this venue a couple different times - for both weddings & my retreats I host. Nothing but amazing things to say about Tumbleweed!!!! I picked this place for my photographers retreat because it has both indoor & outdoor ideas, and a TON of joshua trees on the property!!! That was my favorite part. It is hard to find a venue that really has it all out there, but Tumbleweed does!!! Can't wait for my next wedding out there this fall!

We held an incredibly special gathering at Tumbleweed - a coming together of our community of yogis from across the country to contemplate what it means to be practitioners and teachers today. Our aim was to grieve a time past, and to collectively find nuanced, non-hierarchical, sensitive and attentive ways forward. Julie and the entire Tumbleweed team were generous, thorough, kind, and caring throughout the whole process from planning and prep, to setup, to on-site, to follow-up. The gathering was so meaningful, and wonderful in large part to the healing container they helped us to create. If you are planning an intentional, conscientious gathering of any kind I can't recommend Tumbleweed enough. Thank you, friends!

This is one of our favorite venues in the high desert to photograph weddings at.
The staff is so incredible to work with and the space is breathtaking. They have a lot of desert land filled with Joshua Trees to explore and photograph in. The landscaping is filled with desert flora. This space is modern with bohemian and earthy touches. We are obsessed with the labyrinth and the steel instillations on the property. They have multiple locations where you can choose to host your ceremony and reception. They have the cutest vintage trailer to serve cocktails out of during cocktail hour. Highly recommend!
